Aiken Chiropractor Dr. Christopher Ethridge
Joins Recruiting Team at Sherman

Sherman College of Chiropractic

Dr. Ethridge of Living Well Family Chiropractic in Aiken, SC recently joined ROAR, an elite student recruitment team at Sherman College of Chiropractic. Chiropractors invited to join the Reach Out and Recruit (ROAR) program help identify and mentor the next generation of successful chiropractic and community leaders with Sherman College of Chiropractic, located in Spartanburg, SC.

The ROAR team includes motivated and passionate chiropractors who help students fulfill their dreams of running their own businesses and bringing affordable wellness care to their communities while making a difference in the lives of others. In 2009, Forbes named chiropractic one of America’s “most surprising six-figure jobs,” and the field is growing not only nationally but worldwide. Chiropractors also enjoy the freedom, flexibility and financial rewards of a professional health care career.

Dr. Ethridge says he is honored to join the ROAR team. “As a graduate of Sherman College, I’m proud to support my alma mater and my profession by mentoring future colleagues.”

Program director Dr. Jaime Browning agrees. “We are excited that Dr. Ethridge has joined our team. Our members are dedicated individuals who want to mentor prospective students, shape future leaders of this profession, raise awareness and understanding of the chiropractic profession, and help unify and strengthen chiropractic as a whole. We look forward to Dr. Ethridge’s contributions to these efforts.”

ROAR members host chiropractic career sessions in their communities, represent Sherman College at graduate school and career fairs, speak in biology and health classes at colleges and high schools, and offer shadowing opportunities in their offices.

Dr. Ethridge explains that chiropractic takes a natural, proactive approach to health care, helping people achieve good health and function at their optimum capacity without the use of drugs or surgery. By removing interference to the nervous system, chiropractic allows the body to self-regulate, self-heal, and express itself in a healthier, more vital way.

More information about the ROAR program can be found at www.sherman.edu/roar.

Living Well Family Chiropractic

Living Well Family Chiropractic Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Living Well Family Chiropractic Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

AIKEN, S.C., (Dec. 4, 2009) – Aiken residents suffering from chronic and severe neck and back pain now have access to state-of-the-art spinal care. Living Well Family Chiropractic has opened at 104 B Florence St SW, Aiken, S.C. 29801. Dr. Christopher Ethridge, D.C., and his family will celebrate the opening by holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the facility on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 4 p.m. Among the dignitaries in attendance will be Aiken Mayor Fred Cavanaugh and Aiken Chamber of Commerce President David Jameson.

Living Well Family Chiropractic is a full service chiropractic-care facility specializing in Spinal Decompression Therapy. One of the leading long-term treatment options for treating back and neck problems, Spinal Decompression Therapy is a non-surgical approach to help relieve the pain associated with bulging herniated and degenerative discs. The treatment creates a unique and highly specific force that relieves pressure on damaged discs, allowing oxygen and nutrients back into the discs, helping restore the spine to its natural healthy state.

“My top priority is to provide patients with the highest quality chiropractic care in a friendly, comfortable environment,” said Dr. Ethridge. “We utilize the latest technological advances in the industry along with the latest in computer technology to ensure that you receive the most effective and affordable care possible.”

Living Well’s hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until noon. New patients are currently being accepted and will receive a 50% discount on a new patient exam and $10 off office visits through January 31, 2010.

Dr. Ethridge received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, S.C. During his time there, he received the Service Distinction Award for his contribution to the school and community. He also participated in the Advanced X-Ray Internship Program and was involved with research studying asymmetry of the condylar surfaces of the axis vertebra. Dr. Ethridge served as President of the Atlas Orthogonal Technique Club at Sherman, and founded a wellness and exercise program for senior citizens in a local assisted living facility that continues to grow and now receives financial support from the college.

Dr. Ethridge completed his undergraduate studies at The University of South Carolina, where he earned a degree in Media Arts. He first discovered chiropractic care during his years as a licensed homebuilder, when regular adjustments helped him recover from a low back injury and helped improve his overall health.
