Chiropractic Care
Stiffness, aching joints or a body that simply doesn’t move the way it used to can interfere with everyday life. Maybe turning your head has become uncomfortable, your lower back bothers you after sitting, or getting back to golf, tennis or gardening feels harder than it should.
At Living Well Family Chiropractic, Dr. Christopher Ethridge takes time to understand what you’re experiencing and how it affects your daily routine before recommending care. Your first visit includes a thorough evaluation so he can get a clearer picture of what may be contributing to your concerns.

A Straightforward Way to Think About Spinal Alignment
Our chiropractor often uses simple analogies when explaining chiropractic care. One is a car with its wheels out of alignment. When movement isn’t balanced, certain areas may take on more stress than others.
Reasons People Seek Chiropractic Care
People come to Living Well Family Chiropractic with different goals. Some are dealing with a recent problem, while others have noticed stiffness or restricted movement gradually becoming more noticeable.
Concerns we commonly see include:
- Neck and back discomfort or stiffness
- Reduced range of motion in the shoulders, hips or neck
- Tension-related headaches
- Joint restrictions affecting everyday movement
- Difficulty returning comfortably to activities such as golf, tennis or gardening
Before recommending care, Dr. Ethridge performs an examination that may include orthopedic, postural, strength and neurological testing, depending on what’s appropriate for the patient.
Techniques Tailored to Your Body
There isn’t one adjustment that suits everyone. Our chiropractor draws from several methods based on your examination findings, age and comfort level.
His primary hands-on approach is derived from the Thompson Technique and uses a padded drop table that lowers slightly during an adjustment. He may also use Activator®, a small spring-loaded instrument that delivers a light, controlled adjustment and can be useful when a lower-force approach is preferred.
Dr. Ethridge has also trained with Dr. Roy Sweat, founder of the Atlas Orthogonal technique. Although he does not use the specialized Atlas Orthogonal tables, principles from that training continue to inform aspects of his X-ray analysis and approach to spinal alignment.
When appropriate, our chiropractor may also provide nutritional guidance for patients who could benefit from additional support alongside their chiropractic care.
Understand Your Options
