New Patients at Living Well Family Chiropractic

Your first chiropractic visit should give you enough time to explain what’s been bothering you and ask questions along the way. At Living Well Family Chiropractic, Dr. Christopher Ethridge sets aside a full hour for new patients rather than trying to fit everything into a short appointment.

He’ll ask about your symptoms, but the conversation doesn’t stop there. Your hobbies, daily routine and the activities you may be struggling with can all provide useful context. From the moment you arrive at our Aiken office, the goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard and informed.

NEW PATIENT FORMS

Getting Ready for Your Appointment

Please complete your intake paperwork before you arrive, as the forms generally take about 30 minutes to finish. Comfortable clothing is best, and try to avoid wearing a lot of metal because X-rays are typically taken during the first visit. If needed, we’ll have scrubs available for you to change into.

What Happens During Your First Two Visits

Your first appointment includes a physical examination, which may involve orthopedic testing, strength testing, a postural assessment and neurological testing when indicated.

Dr. Ethridge will review your findings before deciding what comes next. He often provides a light adjustment during the first visit, but may wait if he wants to take a closer look at your X-rays first.

At your report of findings visit, you’ll have another hour devoted largely to education and discussion. He will walk you through your X-rays, explain what he sees and answer your questions so you understand his recommendations before beginning a more complete care plan.

What to Expect From Ongoing Care

Once care begins, appointments generally last anywhere from five to 30 minutes, depending on what’s needed that day. An initial care plan may run approximately six to eight weeks, with regular progress checks along the way. Visit frequency can then be adjusted based on how you’re doing.

When appropriate, nutritional guidance may also be discussed as part of your care.

Living Well Family Chiropractic is in-network with most local insurance providers. We also accept CareCredit, HSA funds, Apple Pay and major credit cards.
